Quality Hygiene Services adopts a positive and proactive approach to the important issues of carbon reduction and sustainability, and recognises that it has an ethical and legal responsibility to constantly challenge and improve environmental practices throughout the organisation.
QHS has a strong link with the environment, and has committed to doing all it can in order to minimise its impact on the environment by becoming a member of Green Achiever scheme and applying the environmental policy. The aim of this Policy is to achieve good business practice in environmental management throughout the organisation. The Policy states what we will do to help the environment and sets out the principles to be followed in order to promote positive attitudes to sustainability and environmental protection. Recycling & Minimising our Impact
- Reduction of waste and the consumption of resources (materials, fuel and energy).
- Comply fully with all legal requirements at every location where it is employed.
- Specifying product that minimise environmental effect in production, use and disposal.
- Encourage full participation and commitment from all employees by carrying out appropriate training.
- Recycle whatever possible whenever possible.
- We switch off all non-critical IT equipment in the office whenever not in use.
The energy sector, like others, is becoming increasingly concerned about water use as water becomes more scarce globally. New technologies are helping us reduce the amount of water usage to provide cleaning services.
